ok pentatonic is just a scale using 5 keys, basically derived from the 5 black keys, so if you play them it gives an oriental sort of sound diatonic means 'within the key' so basically it doesn't add in any sharps or flats or whatever that aren't in whatever scale the piece is being played in...

mine's tolerable, i don't really like my first week thought- i'd like to swap art and ancient around: 1st week: english music ancient 2nd week: maths 2u and ext 3rd week: art so i finish pretty early which is kinda nice- less time to stress!

i think i'd prefer people staying because i find it distracting watching people move around me- if they're still in their seats i don't notice them. my fave experience of leaving exams early is in the civics school certificate in yr10 and you're allowed to leave after the first hour, so...

yeah i borrowed about 10 past papers off my teachers and did them all these hols just to get me into 'weird music' mode so now i'm prepared for anything! so yeah like everyone else has already said just analyse everything possible and it'll help

try harder in assessments

well i'm the first out of all my friends to finish so i'll probably sleep for 2 days then spend the next week when everone else is finished going out and spending all the money that was meant to go towards schoolies

i've come to the discovery that the later i sleep the earlier i wake up and the less tired i am (weird concept, i'm not too sure how it works) so bed varies depending on how early i want to wake up the next morning, but generally between 10 and 12, waking up between 6 and 7.30

well i have 4 different types of timetable i've created depending on how much i want to study but 2 of those have 5 hrs in 1hr bits for each subject then 1 has 7 hrs and my 'intense study day' involves 9hrs, english and ancient get 2hrs on that day cos ancient takes soooooooooooo bloody long-too...

i have a couple of friends who switched names in the science competition last year or the year before and one got a disctinction which under normal circumstances would be completely abnormal so when she got the certificate in assembly we were all laughing our heads off at it

i have. out of the 5 people in our class 2 of us actually made the effort to go to our teachers and borrow a whole heap of past papers to do these hols and we're acutally doing them! i really wanna cane this exam so i'm trying to get as much practice as possible

yeah i saw all the mistakes in the independant paper. it had masses, we were all like oh my god could you make any more mistakes??

the one actual exam i cheated for was yr8 maths exam which involved writing area and volume formulas in permanent marker on the black side of my calculator so you couldn't really see them. but of course they stayed there until this year when i started to feel guilty about it and painted over it...

oh ok. damn i was hoping someone in my class would get nominated but i suppose not. that's a shame
