Never had them in my life - I don't think I'd react well to that kind of stuff... one home-brand panadol knocks me out in five minutes so I figure one sip of Red Bull would have me jumping off the walls :S not what I want during the exams even with separate supervision :)
I take jelly babies...
I loved, this paper. So much so that I added that unnecessary comma :)
The Mika song = :D. I was telling myself all day that there wouldn't be a song I knew or liked in there but was proved wrong :) And it being a pitch question? Even more awesome :)
Seriously, Q1 was medieval? I had no...
I think the questions were weird... Gatsby/Browning was strange and Doll's House... well I sincerely hope we were allowed to disagree with the statement, since it had nearly nothing to do with the play. JC seemed super unsuited to the question :SJust did my best with it all.
If there's a feature article in it ANYWHERE...
I will cry. :'(
Ditto for if there's a question on Conflicting Perspectives. Looks like I'll be crying then. :(
Yep, just refer to the ideas or something. I referred to both since I couldn't decide which to use :) and they were more or less the same anyway for the purposes of the story I made up pretty much on the spot. :)[/LEFT]
I was thrown a little by the ONE related. Then again the lecturer guy at the ETA guy back in March implied that it might be one, I think.
They can't take marks off you for using two relateds - they do positive marking, like giving you marks for stuff you got right and disregarding stuff you...
Pretty straightforward. I did 3 and 4 for the last question.
BTW, were we meant to talk about connections with people in that part? I figured the question "connections between people and places" just meant like, connection to place, as in I assumed it meant "people" = me for example, and...
I thought it was pretty good - nothing like what we've practised and done in class but not undoable, so I worked around it.
It said to use ONE related, right? I only did one.
I have trouble eating on exam mornings too. Just try to eat something healthy, eggs and toast works for me, even if I can only eat a few mouthfuls. Even just fruit or bread should keep you going for a while - a banana, a glass of milk and a piece of toast worked for me throughout assessment...
Could be worse. A friend of mine is all finished by the 26th.
And it's true that we got the timetables a while ago, so you've had a lot of time to whinge. :)
All the best though.
Thanks! Trust me, I'm doing a LOT of maths. Apparently the top ten ranks in my (former?) maths class are extremely close, within a a few %s. Will that work for me or against me?
Sorry, I know there's a stack of these threads but I'm curious:
School rank: between 300 and 310, I think
Subject ranks:
Advanced English - 2/12
English Extension - 1/1
General Maths - 7/51
Modern History - 3/18
Music 1 - 1/6
Legal Studies - 4/32
The highest I need is 90.25... I'd love over...
Completely disagree. If you absolutely suck at English and can't read or write or use grammar, then yeah you should get an English tutor. Otherwise just do the work - the English course is stuffed anyway so it's not like it'll make it any less stuffed for you to have extra work. You'd probably...
Pretty sure not. I was thinking about that this morning actually. What if you have the worst luck in the world and the marker who got your Belonging story ends up marking your Extension one as well?
Maybe if you leave out the murder/sci-fi/biography and change all the character names it'd...
Captain Obvious kind of question here, but I just wanted to check:
If the question says "Compose a piece of writing..." we can do a speech or whatever, right? Not necessarily a story?
I figure if it says "imaginative writing" it's definitely gotta be a story but when it just says "a piece...
