yep they never asked me for my transcript in my internship last yr... perhaps its because me and you applied for stuff after first yr?
i think in later yrs when u do more 'important' things the transcript will be more important...
i'd say D's .. 80+ preferred... and show u have work experience.. preferably in the financial industry as that is a bonus, as well as knowledge of what exactly is going on in the world
accounting knowledge is very important. no matter where u want to go into....
u may hate accounting... (i admit, i hated it coz it was sOOOO boring to me last yr) .. but straight away at the end of last yr when i started working as a vac ... i never expected the accounting knowledge i learnt in...
i got full workin for all assignments + got stacks of past papers (with stuff which they dont give out on webCT, included are solutions)
pm if interested
um... generalising a lot there with the sibt thing...
remmeber if they're in sibt they've most likely just stepped off the plane at the beginning of the yr and entered a foreign country whcih speaks a different langauge.. i'd be quite shy if i was in that position
plz stop making...
well compared to a course like mine where its all calculations ... with the odd essay or two here and there...
i can see why they say law helps with communication.. (im not just referrin to speaking skills.. writing mainly) ... they write a lot more essays etc... than ppl like me =P
ok as for 'sticking with your own racial groups' thing... how about u go to some overseas country and try to study there... for sure u will stick with ppl who can communicate with you
the same applies here... stop calling them ignorant... i know a lot of international students and the reason...
think ur stereotyping a lot there...
sure there are some ppl who cant get a job and do postgrad to improve their chances... but ull find theres also a lot of ppl with jobs who do the postgrad stuff too...
ill take it the IB thing is a joke =P
apparnatly coz law helps u with ur communication and critical thinking.. also research (actuary student at mq bank told me this)
ummmmmmm and ur comment on the masters of finance is based on??????
a lot of ppl at my work recommend masters of finance... its pretty good from what I have heard... lots of ppl do it WHILST working because of the career opportunities it opens up
parents pay for tuition fees so long as i get above credit (good motivation)
i live at home with parents.. but yea i pay for things like transport, going out, food etc...
