at mq
the institute for innovation is renowned for promoting entrepeneurship
we have courses in entrepreneurship as well, with a fantastic department with great credentials
if ur really into entrepreneurship, u shud look into mq =P
out of interest, are u using this to get into IB?
ive heard master of applied fin at mq is pretty good.. or go for the CFA.. ive heard good things from employers abt the two
rofl this accounting propaganda bs is annoying
if u like it, thats great, but theres no need to try to make it sound like king shit compared to ppl with aspirations in other fields (same goes for non accounting ppl dissing accounting)
everyone has different interests, career aspirations blah...
by the way we're talking about grad jobs here
u cant compare ur 'survey' u saw which is [what i gather] accounting for all professions - graduate or non graduate...
go search up the qed site, ive read some of their articles recently so i can vouch for that
'people without part 1 get around 35k per year'
errr did u relaly mean to say part 1? because thats not suprising lol considering thats the first step to being an actuary
i still think international business is very much a limited degree in terms of wat u can do
u dont exactly need a degree in international business to get into those govt jobs that u described
if anyone has turned up to lectures...
did any lecturers give hints on whats in the final exam
(besides whats written on the guideline on webct.. which is pretty much a copy and paste of the bloody 'key topics' in the beginning of the lecture slides, except for toomas' part hehe..)
lol ok, so accounting wants ppl who are underconfident and can't make decisions?
just ppl who sit down at a desk all day...
mate u need to learn more about the real world lol
leadership skills is quality for any position
well accounting and finance aside,
anyone know what the market is like for insurance specific, actuarial roles?
grad salaries, prospects etc...
my impression atm is that there isn't many jobs out there...
