I think it's just saying 'discuss how it does support it'.
Think about it, would they really want you to bring in a text and say, "no, it doesn't support the idea"?

But anyway, if this is the 'Japanese Story' I'm thinking of, the movie where the Japanese guy meets & falls for an Australian woman, the inner journey would be that of each character in overcoming cultural boundaries to find affection for each...
I say practise it heaps, the more you go through it the less emotional it will become. If you need to, perform it in front of people you know to get the performance-emotion out so you'll be ready to do the real thing without the waterworks, which wouldn't benefit you(r marks) at all.
