Meh; natural to cry. If men shouldn't cry, then why do they have tear ducts?
It has a purpose, you feel better afterwards especially if you've been bottling things up.
All that "boys don't cry" stuff is BS. Don't worry guys, you're not pussies if you do :)
A more recent favourite of mine is "I can sleep when I'm dead." (-Santino Rice, season 2 Project Runway) which I intend to apply to my HSC year... not literally, it just conveys the idea to go your hardest at what you need to do.
I have pretty small boobs (though they're in proportion to the rest of my body, I'm a size 8/ stick insect) and don't have any trouble at all getting guys to like me. Seems the majority here care more for meat than they do the overall package.
There is a difference between counsellors and psychologists, firstly psyc's have higher qualifications apparently, and have the authority to diagnose mental ilnesses and stuff, whereas counsellors help people with more general issues, eg. self esteem, family problems etc.
But I think...
Is it? I just think it's not a 'high position' to be all into the earth anyway... so there's no poppy that's tall in the first place.
Lol I sound like such a tool.
Argh I haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption, read the book though, and that was good.
Not a big movie fan, but liked Stand By Me (another movie based on a Stephen King novel), Napoleon Dynamite and Silent Hill.
Lots of the texts are enjoyable, though a lot are intensely tedious and take a long time to be over with...
I gotta say the poetry is the best, not like the BS you usually get 'I love him, he doesn't know me, insert unoriginal rhyme here along with few other literary techniques' [in even...
Meh @ Greenpeace.
You hippies are so self-righteous, you know that nothing you ever do will amount to enough to achieve what you aim for.
And hey, aren't we all going to die anyway? What's the point in trying, apart from thinking you're better than every person that doesn't worship grass?
I'll give it a shot:
Values and attitudes refer to the characters' outlooks and opinions, what they hold high in society...
Eg's. values- 'I value equality'
attitudes- ignorance or acceptance toward minorities
But anyway, you know you can just ask your teachers...!
Exactly. When you have eye contact with a teacher who's struggling with the class, their time is made better.
I really hate the personal attacks, too. There was written on a desk, in maths, something like 'Ms. [teacher] sucks cock'. Like 6 people commented agreeing... how the hell would she...
Yeah I feel sorry for teachers quite a lot, so I try to make their lives easier my shutting the fuck up and listening. That's what we're at school to do, no? It's unlikely doing so will influence a behavioural revolution, but elbowing your friends and telling them to shut up works, because they...
Ok, so: it's taken me this long to actually realise and accept that I don't like Textiles & Design- and I have a few questions regarding my predicament.
Is it too late to drop this subject? (I'm going into year 12 this year, already finished a term of it)
Do you think it's a wise decision...
My music teacher says 'does that make sense?' like every second sentence. A couple of us have taken it upon ourselves to have a tally of how many times she says it in one class...
Same teacher had a migraine one day and said something like "You probably won't be able to understand my ramblings...
Say how it represents/demonstrates what time/era it was created in. Focus also on how the nude shows this (I'm guessing nudes were commonplace in that era).
I have to address the 'unexpected detours' question in a couple of days and can't use any prescribed stimulus or other types of related material, I used them up on 'the journey matters' and 'interpretation of the new'.
I can use non-literary related material like magazine articles, letters to...
