That's right, Fenner...the place with the repository of alien knowledge stored in room 220. *looks around his strange room* *goes back to combing his antennae*
gemita: A belated happy bday then. :) A while longer to go for me, fortunately or unfortunately...
Mostly, ppl here at Fenner seem to head for ICBM (I believe they sponsor us or something), or Academy. No idea where they are or what they're like. :p
Meh...if anyone finds a place which...
We're hiding everywhere, just readying ourselves for the revolution, when we shall take over the world! :p
...or something like that, anyway. *huggles uni* Looks like it might be a decent semester of courses after all, after the first week. Definitely less contact hours than last year, so...
Low, not static. :p Interest rates *will* rise, it's just the government's job to moderate the effect of the business cycle. And that's what they'll be doing.
Sure. Good idea. :p
Although...I have to admit to some minor issues with claiming to worship a faith that you don't really believe in -- I think it's insulting to that religion, at least to some extent. I suggest you find a bunch of like-minded people and set up your own religion -- much...
You wouldn't care to show *any* of your own work at all, would you? It makes others (well, me at least) a lot more enthusiastic about helping if there's some evidence that you've done some thinking about the question. Even if you didn't get anywhere, tell us what your thought processes were...
Haha...that's not a good sign for me...I don't usually miss things like that. Meh, maybe more sleep will help.
*takes his three hours of sleep and trundles off to orchestra*
...of 100 what?
But yes, Mathematica is impressive. And it works very, very well. *huggles Mathematica*
That said, let me add my voice of support for Graphmatica -- it's a nice program.
A couple of friends and I have vague plans of printing out these definitions in large font on A4 paper, then taking them to class this year...every time the lecturer uses one, we'll hold up the relevant sheet of paper. :p
(Third year maths this year, so should be smaller classes, more fun and...
Very good question. :p I have no idea what it's like at B&G...here at Fenner there's a trolley on which you can stack boxes/fridges/etc., and then you just wheel that into the lift.
If you need a hand, send me a PM whenever you get on the net, and I'll show you around campus if you need it...
HSC physics is not "real" physics, no. It's pulled back from university physics so much that it's now almost irrelevant whether or not you've done HSC physics before you do uni physics.
IMHO, there is nothing wrong with acknowledging that physics is tightly linked with mathematics. It...
Sort of depends on what you need. Commonwealth Bank is nicely situated in Union Court, across from the refectory (I knew I picked the right bank :p). I believe there's an NAB branch located over in the Chancelry -- I've never seen it myself though. I think St George is in Civic, and I'm sure...
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Hell yes.
Really long answer: You're expected to have them for lectures, assignments, etc.
Qualification of above answers: This all holds true for science/maths/a few other subjects I've seen. I'm pretty sure it's true for all courses.
Hehe. Well, I've picked up a lot of mathematical jokes around the net over the years...I have no idea where some of them came from, but they're sitting on my hard drive. So, for example:
CLEARLY: I don't want to write down all the "in-between" steps.
TRIVIAL: If I have to show you how...
I did Ext 1 Eng to escape from Advanced. I did Ext 2 Eng to escape from Ext 1...that worked out nicely. :p
For maths, I was always going to do Ext 2 anyway, no questions asked...that was fun. :)
You *can* do that. It would be nice to figure out what subjects you want to do before you head in though...and if you fire off an email to the commerce dept, they might like you a lot better. :p
(I said might...I don't really know them over in that scary corner ;))
