    alternative ways to get in

Not quite, you still have to add it to your UAI in the ratio 50:50 (assuming we're talking about a first year transfer). And he did get 70-something. 76 I think.

Different unis, different rules. You should probably do more of your own research into each individual university. They specify it on their websites/brochures.

What kind of scholarship for guys with UAIs of 99.95 and 100?

Last year, UNSW offered $6000 outright to anyone with 100, regardless of faculty. No scholarships were offered purely on academic ability.

Lets Make a Complaint about the poor scaling of SDD..

Sorry Fos I'm not sure if we're discussing aligning or scaling here. Xeriphic's post didn't quite make sense. If xeriphic is referring to aligning, then the marks went up. I'm pretty sure I didn't get 96 raw in the HSC. And if I recall correctly, the raw marks for the person who topped the...

Laz while we're on that topic, how did you go about getting your exam answer sheets back from UNSW? Did you write them a letter quoting the FOI or something?

I didn't read the rest of the thread so I don't know if this has been answered - but it's only for the people who topped the subject. I got 3rd for chemistry and 9th for SDD last year, didn't get notified about either.

Not true; we've learnt how to do respiratory and cardio physical examinations. We have examined patients and listened to aortic/mitral regurgitations etc etc. Ever tried lifting an old woman's sagging tit(s) and holding a stethoscope under it to listen to pansystolic murmurs? Neither have I...

LOL not you - I meant people who go through the Adelaide high school system. And I'm definitely sure it was "what if you didn't get into university" because I was rather taken aback by the question. Oh and can I view your scrubs collection? They started airing it again this week and it's the...

Hang on I've got a great question from Adelaide's medical interview for you to answer: "What would you do if your UAI was too low to get you into university?" I'd like to know how you'd answer something as redundant as that. I didn't know what to say when they asked me that; I still don't...

    medical salaries

Well if you believe what we're told publicly, then GPs get anything from $120,000 to $250,000. It'd be slightly higher for specialties such as paediatricics, then increase to anything from $500,000 to $1,000,000. Of course, it'd change depending on whether you work in the private or public...
