In today's SMH, underneath the story about the freaks (in a good way) who had UAIs of 100, they corrected their idiotic table. The SMH table had a numerical list with no analysis so, doh, schools with heaps big candidatures will get lots of people on the list. The Telegraph list rules (I know...
Of course it gets moderated by BoS but it is still based on the information that the school gives. Assessments and ranks are subjective, particularly if you are taught by the inexperienced or the inept.
My parents were so impressed they are thinking about taking out one of those congratulation things in the Telegraph. And they keep kissing me and squeezing me. They are more excited than me. 87.45. It's good because my school thought I was crap.
In extension english, my teacher thought I would get 35 and my exam mark was 42. In Visual arts, my teacher assessed met at 85 and the exam mark was 92. I hate them both.
The SMH ranking is completely stuffed. It just counts the number of subjects in which over 90 per cent has achieved. So, schools with big candidatures do better. I think they need to divide the number of students sitting the exam into the number of distinctions achieved.

Here's the real miracle. Started working in May. School expected me to get 75 to 80 (including my cow of an English teacher). 87.45. My school marks were so so low compared to my exam marks. Did others have that experience?
