It's been a while since I looked at Turing machines, but what is a QS?

by the way, is Humphrey taking is this year? he practically owns that course. and he is a very good lecturer as well.

That's just what i want to input.

The string QS means that on the string it wants to compute, it's all blanks and it's highlighted a blank.

I'm still failing to understand, maybe my knowledge of Turing Machines is too limited ..
