Savage is game a mixed between MMORPG and FPS. It's like World of Warcraft and Counter Strike in one and released free.

Choose to be a commander and you will play an in-depth RTS managing the stronghold, or choose to be a warrior and you will play an intense game of first person combat.

To play, install the following 3 files in this exact order before running the game:

The last one will actually run the game. Once in the game, you'll want to do the following since the master server is currently broken. If it isn't broken anymore, you'll see a list of games when you press Play. Oh, if it asks for a CD key, enter: 0000-0000-0000-0000-0000

Anyways, to see servers do this:

Drop down the console (just like ET) using ` or ~:
Type setsave int_newgamelist 0 <enter>
then
setsave gamelist_ip evolved-hosting.com
Raise the console. Click Play, then Refresh to see the servers.

It came out free some months ago and i'm trying to get it mirrored on GA's website so i'll be updating this thread if it's successful. Mainly I'm only requesting for the "savage_windows.zip" to be mirrored because it's the biggest (250MB+). The 200e patch has already been mirrored in GA and any savage related stuff here.

NB: although some people hate telstra's prices and reliability

sounds like natural selection : i.e the first online rts/fps game

its still much better than any game that tries to emulate the mixup rts/fps aspects of it

still, i might give savage ago.

post a review or more info? cause its not like iam gonna dl over 250meg of stuff without knowing a bit about the game first

This game was infact commercially released couple of years ago and been since become free.

Yeh, since im with telstra... downloading anything from GA's website is unmetered (so is for all bigpond channels). Once I downloaded 3 full iso of the linux os they had mirrored there.
