My teacher said text by text was rather unsophiscated for a class of our calibre. So i try not to do text by text analyses.

The task is a synthesis essay. Dont expect close to full marks if u arent synthesising your information, most people who do it in chunks get 14/20. Also half the marks are allocated to coherent structure and articulation, so it's no longer yr 7 type of writing that will get you through. Goodluck.

Other people can write 8. Which is crazy...but it does happen.

Depends on how big your writing is and how many lines there are to a page: I noticed that lined A4 paper has 38 lines, but BOS booklet paper only has 20 - so if you can write 4 A4 pages, then you should comfortably be able to write 8 pages in the HSCTimeAndTide said:
