I was given the info when I enrolled, including step-by-step instructions. Commerce/Eco were quite reasonably organised on enrolment dayOriginally posted by mp3mojo
how did u's find out about havin to register for tutorials?
cos i was never told...
Yeah, I am to. It's because the tuts were schedual to clash with the lectures, cause they hadn't been decided. I don't think any soft eng student is enrolled.Originally posted by mp3mojo
oic, mayb dats why... cos when i was enrollin (into software engineering) they didnt tell me anything about it, at all.... arrrr hopefully im not left with tutorials on at around 6pm or later.....

Yea, it was funny watching all the other engineering students leave the massive hall, and like 30 of us left overbtw there wasnt as many ppl as i expected doin the s/w eng...
Comp sci has a wider range of classes; maybe it's more interesting, but software eng teaches you something practical, at the least, that you can use in a programming job. It's good, because it makes programmers think in an engineer's mindset, so you focus on requirements and all that jazz, and don't end up writing software such as Windows 95 or the original Internet Explorer.Originally posted by mp3mojo
yeah.... wonder why computer science is far more popular than software engineering....
also, c all u guys on monday!
Lol.. on your first day? Not likelybtw u reckon it's possible to reach to the next lecture at 11am without bein late??
isnt all the 'see school for location' for tutorials not lectures? It would suck to have a "See School for Location" one for your first.
But it's not like high school -- they don't keep track of who is where and have to organise everyone's schedules. E.g., would you want to hold up 50 students for 10mins just because another 10 students have a prior lecture?Originally posted by mp3mojo

but dont u reckon it's stupid, dat they dont mak it with a 10-15min break in between? cos seriously, we need time to walk to the next building.
Yup, looks like it. Oh well, something to do after first class. On that note, is there any free-use (as in, not just for study stuff) net access?isnt all the 'see school for location' for tutorials not lectures?
