You missed out on conics and volumes; conics is good and volumes is relatively easy except i've never really liked volumes much.
I hate mechanics it's shit, I still haven't learnt how to do conical pendulum, circular motion or banked curve and like two weeks till the exam... woops.

i guess everyones different lol, yeh i conics is alright, depends on how much work u put in for it, and volumes is alright, once u get the hang of it, i like the slicing method on those 3d shapes.

The entire course is piss easy if you bother to do just 30 minutes to an hour of study for the subject EACH day for the rest of the HSC.

Thing is, few people do that. I did it for a time, and then got complacent and now regret it. :)

P.S.: Mechanics sucks.

I remember asking the same question this time last year.
Ahh...how time flies.

Sounds like the course isnt bad after all
I also wanted to ask why the harder 3 unit is so hard compared to the other topics? Alot of the 4u students doing the hsc next week tell me thats the hardest of them.

Yeah, a pretty random question, since thread is in the maths section. Biology is one of those less demanding subjects unlike 4u maths, where you gotta devote alot of time doing homework, but if bio's too hard for you, then your decision is fair enough. In my opinion, if you're gonna do 10 units, keep in mind that these are the 10 units that will be part of your final UAI, and you don't have a backup in case you bomb out in a subject. I'm doing 12 units because it is more safe, and i can maximise my UAI from my best 10 units out of the 12 i'm doing. The only thing that i think is better for 10 unit is you can focus on those 4-5 subjects instead of with the extra subject or 2 at 12 unit, meaning there's no room for error in doing 10 unit.

Err, where did that come from? lol
Why wouldn't it be ok to go into the hsc with 10 units, it gives you so much more time to study

Yes, i agree with that advantage of 10 units and that you get more free periods to study, but it also means you gotta make sure that you get decent marks in all those subjects, because if you stuff up in just 1, then that subject will screw up your UAI, ie pull down your UAI, i had a cousin that did 4u maths, and stuffed up the 4 unit exam, getting less than 90 for his UAI when he could have got in the early 90s if he hadn't done 4u. It all depends on personal preference, if you know that these are the 10 that you are best at and wanna concentrate on these, then go for it, if you wanna play it safe, then try 11 or 12 units for that safety advantage

put the least pressure you can on yourself for the hsc. i do four subjects only and its really easy going, and this way you can afford to donate lots of time to mx2, which is a subject worth the work unlike doing a major work.
