I don’t really know where to put this thread but recently as I’ve worked through org chem (mod 7) I’ve really enjoyed it and view this as a potential route for my uni degree but I read horror stories online of people doing org chem in uni having lots of difficulty in finding jobs and the pay is awful like ~50k a year. I’m worried if this will be a problem later for me in the future and if it’s worth going for another uni degree that has high demand in the job market. I obv don’t know if this applies to EVERY branch of org chem but have seen many branches facing this issue and chemistry graduates in general.
Should I drop my plans for this and find something else?
