Hieronymus Bosch- strongly influenced Mombassa with 'Christ Carrying the Cross' (see similarities in The Road to Clovelly)
Uh I have a lot of notes on this, but I'm sure you can figure this out by yourself, its pretty obvious...but if you need help I can scan in the sheets and I have an essay on how he uses irony etc etc using that piece and Pillar of Society as examples, and part of an old case study about things that influence the artist...
