mature aged students are the ones who START uni when they are 21+Omnidragon said:Whoa, that makes a lot of double-degree studenst mature age. 21+?
Usually people get into university at 18, so if they do a single degree they should graduate at 21.
yes i agree here...i dont have a prob with mature age in general but there are specific ones who just piss me off...they think they own the place and seriously many of them dont really belong there...this may sound harsh but its what i think...but yes they are generally harder workers there for the purpose of the degree not socialising, unlike some recent school leavers....24 isnt old to start i consider mature age ppl that are like 40+...even tho 20's is considered it...i hope this made sensePwarYuex said:I think I speak for most people when I say that:
a) Generally speaking, mature age students work a lot harder, read everything, and usually get better marks, but,
b) don't know how to shut up in class.
Agreed. Don't have anything against them in general, just the ones who think they know everything and makes it a point to always answer every question in tutorials and interrupt or add-on to someone else's answer. ;(dion7789 said:yes i agree here...i dont have a prob with mature age in general but there are specific ones who just piss me off...they think they own the place and seriously many of them dont really belong there...this may sound harsh but its what i think...but yes they are generally harder workers there for the purpose of the degree not socialising, unlike some recent school leavers....24 isnt old to start i consider mature age ppl that are like 40+...even tho 20's is considered it...i hope this made sense
