Yo,
Can someone explain how to make internet explorer automatically download PDF files. As in, when you click on a PDF file link, it should download and then open up within the explorer window? Know what I mean? It used to work on mine, but now when I click on a .PDF file it just comes up with those not-downloaded-picture symbol. Do you get it?
*sigh* It's so frustrating...:(

You can try right clicking on the link and doing Save Target As or when you open the PDF, there's a Save a Copy button or something along those lines around the buttons.

The PDF file association is lost. The first thing you can try is to reinstall Acrobat Reader, if that doens't work, manually set the PDF file type to point to the acrobat executable.

A small rabbit hole....
In other words, the "Open With" stuff. To get to them, open any folder, click on tools, then folder options. IN the tabs, click on file types, click on add and add the pdf file type there. Then make sure that the default program to run that file whenever it is opened is Adobe Acrobat Reader.

There's an alternative to reinstalling which is navigating to My Computer go to Tools > Folder Options, under File Types add a new association with the extention .PDF and assign it to the acrobat .exe file.
