i was playing around with a laptop at dicksmith the other day, and when i moved it it said something like warning the laptop is moving and it seemed like quite a big deal lol, one of my mates said in those little eepc things, you cant move them cause the harddrive gets ruined or something...

I heard recently that males tend to over estimate what they will achieve and females under estimate. Does anybody know if there is any truth to this, and can it been seen at your school ? cocky males who might not be so smart and bright females who think they will do poorly?

how exactly do you people come to the estimates you give people, i understand that good ranks in a good school = high UAI. But nobody knows anything of the cohort that year, a school ranked in the 700s might have a top year this year, and UAC uses complicated scaling and formulae... but here it...

what kind of maths is involved in a business/commerce degree? if majoring in HR or marketing i assume there wouldnt be much and it wouldnt be very complicated, but from what i understand everybody does core subjects and some of these include maths. Is it difficult?

i understand that RANKS in the hsc are quite important, but does the gaps between the ranks make a difference to anything ?

I have 2 exams in 1 day, general maths in the morning and ancient history in the afternoon. Was mainly asking people who have had this happen them in the past, but what is the best way to tackle this situation ? studywise and what not

how do you guys feel about receiving your marks back only to find out your equal first? i'm a very competitive person by nature and i know totally that the other person deserved the mark they got, the thing going through my head is that this person beat me in the last assessment task by 1 mark...
