right on with what glitterfairy said.
don't be disheartened... there are ALWAYS OPTIONS!
just to let you know, i know somebody that got a UAI of 85.5 but really wanted to do commerce at usyd (93).. decided to take up commerce at UWS and after a year, transferred to Sydney. if you really want...
seems a bit sus... everyone i've talked to so far has been shortlisted =| .. i'm startin to think they tell us we're shortlisted so we don't kill ourselves lol
Think about what you wanna do after year 12 NOW! Early preparation for things such as UMAT, STAT, scholarships etc. are crucial! For example, if you want a good chance of receiving a UNSW Co-op scholarship, extra curricular activities/communication skills/leadership skills are very important!

Hey guys. To future co-op applicants, as far as I know, you can pursue a double major if you do a Commerce Co-op degree.
e.g. If you do Commerce (ISM) you can also major in something else from the commerce faculty..i.e. accounting.
Okay I can't remember if I saw this on the slides on Monday, or from somebody telling me, but I think there were about 60-70 interviews for BIT and about 20 interviews for ISM.
If the candidates don't match the requirements of the co-op program, then they aren't given the scholarship! Not necessarily every scholarship will be taken up. I heard that last year there were 20-something scholarships for BIT, but only 16-17 were selected?
I had my ISM interview yesterday. For those who are interested, and for future co-op applicants this year about 286 interviews were given for the Commerce Programs + BIT.
lmao yeah.. i've been tryin to get into contact with 'pocketmay' but argh. user doesn't allow emails to be sent. =| contacted bored but no response. was hoping posting on one of her threads would notify her email lol
hey do you guys know if it is possible to do a double major with the co-op? and will this show on the title of your degree? e.g. doing the ISM co-op and then co-majoring in accounting [ B. Commerce (ISM & Acc) ]
wear what you would normally wear to an interview? formal clothes
take a look at the photos of this year's co-ops in the application brochure..that should give you a good idea
