ummm i would say STAT171 in hard coz u learn totally new concepts. actuarial students need atleast credit n so manyy end up repeating it. thats from my experience since i got Credit in 171 whereas for rest of the units in 1st year i got D or HD. n yeh don freak out if u fail the mid-semester...

its weird i thought every uni had the same way of calculating GPA so ypu can compare graduates from different uni's. Anyway here's Macquarie's GPA calculator http://www.reg.mq.edu.au/undergrad/other/gpa.htm

i ll explain it properly... these are the points u get for ur reesult Conditional Pass = 1 Pass = 2 Credit = 3 Distinction or High distinctin = 4 i got: 1 Credit and 7distinction/High distinction so if u take average u ll get GPA of 3.875 btw GPA = 4 is the max anyone can get makes...

lol no btw am on 3.875 which means Credit =1 High distinction/distinction = 7
