It's your particular unique case. Doctors are in the minority.
There is a massive amount of uni students who are studying, receiving concessions / CSP benefit etc, who I know will not contribute to the society (both taxes and progress) in the same manner as a doctor, engineering student, law...
The tradesman is working and paying taxes, so he/she is in a superior position here to decide where the money should go. The "fucking tradesman" is the one who probably funds half your education anyway (CSP).
Just because you go to uni and paying uni a fee doesn't necessary mean you are as...
Why do you think uni students should qualify for free travel?
Do you think that a B. Arts student deserves free travel while the working tradesman should not?
I have a friend who works full-time and pays the full price. I don't see why uni students should be in a different situation.
1. International students have the funds to pay full price. I've met plenty, and none of them need concessions.
2. I don't think uni students should really get concessions. If you have the means to attend uni, you should have the means to pay full price for a ticket. Also, half the students who...
Re: HELP!: U@MQ Gym
Once you come into the gym, head for the personal trainers. They are very helpful at MQ and will definitely help you out with equipment basics.
Don't be intimidated, most people pay no attention to newcomers unless they get in the way or do not subscribe to gym etiquette.
I am just doing it for fun. My degree is just like yours (IT), elective subjects just give it more variety. MKTG101 was heaps fun. Plus a lot of people in the IT dept are a bit messed up (no offense lol).
Well I am doing both 227 & 224 now.
I haven't attended any stuff for them yet, I think they should be easy. Anything in COMP so far has been a piece of cake except the maths stuff, and I am finished with that :D
Heh. I've also enrolled into MATH136 as an elective a year ago. I have no idea why... but I passed. MATH136 is simply a hard subject, MAS105 I am getting a bad vibe from.
I've been attended a gym for the last 1 1/2 years and I don't see women being 'harassed' in there. Gentleman's clubs do not exist today - they are not allowed by law. Curves, Fernwood etc are all allowed to exist.
I am sure if I open a male-only gym tomorrow, I will be on Today Tonight in a...
Hi,
Anyone done MAS105? Was it good?
I enrolled just for fun and supposedly easy credit points in this, with pretty heavy existing commercial experience in magazine production industry: sales and business development. I went to the first tutorial and it was very painful to listen to the...
Feminism should mean to me the equality of women to men in opportunity.
But, because of all the action around feminism right now means to me an attempt to advance the interests of women at the expense of men (affirmative action).
So, when I think feminism these sorts of things come to mind:
