I reckon 201 is getting alot easier in recent semesters, so the real concerns are 310 and 253...but 253 doesn't hav that much homework, so it should still be manageable.

maybe because the lecturers have changed, i remember a few yrs ago when roselyn was still teaching (the french lecturer), econ141 was very very easy.

it changes all the time, last yr it wasn't there, but the yr b4 it was. so best to check it out on the summer course website.

in my opinion, almost all 100lvl units are crammable - you'll realize that once you get to 2nd or 3rd yr. I'd say that its only worth doing summer course if you hav failed a unit or want to accelerate your way out of uni. it will be better to do 300lvl units such as busl320 and accg340, because...

come on man...lots of ppl including me did 310+323, both of them are 4cp units, and most of us went thru fine. i think luke took 4 300lvl accg units in one semester, he seems to be doing ok. and wat about those ppl who are working and studying at the same time? its just up to you how much...

hey now my webct shows gordon brooks as the lecturer...is he the guy from 2 yrs ago? it sounds like: if Gordon is teaching then the book is needed. but if Sheri is teaching then the book is not needed. Is that right?

why cant you do 4 units in a semester, i think most ppl are fine with it. econ141 in semester 2 is piss easy, acst201 isn't hard, and i dont expect bba102 to be too difficult... btw how many 100lvl cp hav u done already?

those two units are not compulsory for the finance degree. I reckon if you really want to get into that finance institute, you can always find a way...like a waiver of something, since marketing and bba aren't related to finance cores. They should be easy units, so maybe just do them for fun...

yeah, so u probably need to do accg253 later on. but for now, just check on e reserve for acst201 past papers, most of them are available to students. ps. I said acst201 is almost 100% theory, I really meant almost 100% calculation.

from my point of view, acst201 is easier than accg253, at least its failure rate is alot lower - accg unit failure rate is always quite high. since you've mentioned that u are more of a maths person, then you should enjoy acst201 alot more, it has almost 100% calculation. A good way to preview...

accg253 is probably nothing like 105, it is possible that u'll find it more challenging. on the other hand, acst201 builds on top of 101, and it is not difficult, as long as you do reasonable amt of work each wk.

its just too bad that mktg101 is only available in semester 1
