I'm the same as you: I take a few hours to do just one topic of the syllabus in dot points. However, I find I retain the content more easily and can recall the information later more effectively.
Like other people have said you should just do what works for you. :)
Extremely hard.
Imagine having to deal with the new surroundings, new teachers, cliques, etc as well as keeping up with your subjects. Not impossible, but bloody difficult.

I've worked as an office monkey there and also did a week's work experience in the Biochemistry department. Never had a problem there and the people are all generally very friendly and professional.
I found Legal Studies to be awful in Year 11. Like someone else said it is a 'memory fest' but once you hit Year 12 it gets a lot more interesting and there is relatively less content to remember (also due to the fact you've learnt most of the basic concepts in your preliminary studies)...
