Well I'm not sure how many Queensland people relatively choose NSW unis over UQ, and I also imagine there are a myriad of factors that go into every individual case.
However, to make a general statement if you're given both options of:
- A 5 or 6 year pathway where you're doing med right from...
You'd be fine. I know it's very easy to be scared of the unknown, but a credit average is very achieveable with a semi-decent amount of effort, esp. for people of the caliber of guaranteed entry med students.
Just focus on getting into a course you'd like first and things will go from there :D...
It's up to you. If you're absolutely set on Law then the UTS degree will ensure you'll be doing law one way or the other.
In UNSW internal transfer will mean some units will carry over, so there's that
But there's no guarantee you'd qualify for a transfer either
In terms of what is easier to...
Not that I can think of, other than a transfer from another degree (though that can be difficult).
There's also this https://scholarships.online.unsw.edu.au/scholarship/sc_al_search_detail.display_scholarship_details?p_scholarship_specific_id=1
if you're eligible
There's the Elite Athletes and...
Disadvantaged school is automatically added, and I highly doubt it would be enough for law, sorry :(. It's probably one or two points for that, unlikely that it's >5 to put a 94.5 above the law threshold.
Edit: Found an earlier discussion on this. Looks like you get might get around 3...
Yes, but you would have to be REALLY disadvantaged in multiple ways to qualify for the full 10 points, as it's handled on a case by case basis as determined by the submitted EAS form and documents.
So I wouldn't bank on getting 10 points.
Glad to hear you're happy, and skiing will be an awesome getaway, I'm jealous :P
Yes, the period of holidays followed by the excitement of first year uni is awesome. Have fun with it :D
Anyway I will stop bothering you, good luck again :)
Well who knows, you might just have that sparkling personality. You don't seem completely horrible for what it's worth. :P
Well at the very least you've got some options. Good luck with it all, I'll have to remember to check how you go next year. :D
Also dw too much about rankings. On an...
It's just the nature of MMIs to have one or two bad stations I reckon. I hope things work out for you.
Anyway, just order your UAC preferences based on what you've got, and make sure you've got a decent backup plan.
And otherwise just chill and keep enjoying the break! You might not get...
We're all cheering for ya :')
Is UQ your first pref or are you hoping on any NSW offers?
And yeah, while bonding isn't preferable it's only a one year period of service now, and definitely better than nothing.
Hey there! :)
First of all congrats on that amazing ATAR, you should be super proud!
From what I'm reading, UQ guaranteed entry uses ATAR as just a threshold, so since you're OP1 that's good enough. Now to differentiate between all the OP1 applicants the total UNAT score is used, then if two...
Hey there samwr!
First of all congrats on the amazing ATAR, I hope you're going out and celebrating today/soon. :D
Your marks are awesome, but perhaps borderline even for a first round interview given how competitive med is getting nowadays.
So with second round interviews, it's... hard to...
