Text type - so in the question you get asked to write a feature article or a transcript etc. I believe that's what was referred to. We had to do a transcript in our trial -it's not too bad a text type, just avoid too much padding :) I think I had my people discuss tea over techniques.

It kind of sucks that we won't get feedback. I'd like to know what they liked/didn't like etc. Obviously there's no way I could improve on it as it's a final mark... but still! I've grown quite fond of feedback.

If the text is likely to be unknown by your markers, give (as someone said before) a quickly one-line summary of the piece, or at least establish what text type it is. E.g. Jim Crace's novel "Being Dead" or Luke Eve's short film "Australian Summer" - so they can at least understand what kind of...

I'm using Australian Summer directed by Luke Eve as one of my related texts. The other one is the children's novel The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Junster. They're both fantastic as related texts.
