    Answers about Law

hey all, can anybody recommend a good, very general publication that I would find at almost any uni library, covering the basics of law. Hmm, I can't believe I just wrote that -sounds so stupid, but hopefully you get my drift. Am just wanting to read something general now. I should just email a...

HELP! EAS dash Broadway scheme acceptence

Thankyou White Rabbit for defending me, however, my comments were a bit too acidic. ANU!!! If I hadn't got the right marks, I would have gone to ANU without question!!! It is an excellent university, aditya, and the lower, more realistic cut-offs, are only due to its isolation. Plus, if your...

    Does God Exist?

I think it is widely uncontested that Jesus lived. There are so, so many historical documents which do indeed refer to a man by the name of Jesus who had great influence and power, with many followers. I certainly believe Jesus lived. I also think he was an absolute psychopath equal to many...

    Does God Exist?

People with religion are, from what I have experienced, generally more happier, feel they have a sense of purpose in life, can find answers to many challenging things and as Anne Deveson suggests, more 'resilient' - able to work through and cope in times of adversity. For these reasons it can be...

Wow David, you made me feel better about my results than my family did, thanks! New question: I have spoken to various admissions advisers from both USYD and USYD, and now I am just trying to discern what is the likelihood of being able to attain a distincton GPA. How hard is it to achieve...

    Answers about Law

David or others, I am hoping to go to USYD or UNSW to do com/law in 2005. I have worked out that I will just [just] miss out on usyd with ACCESS, and probably get into UNSW, if the 2004 ACCESS cut-off does not rise more than .25. I am also considering paying full-fee for the first year and then...

HELP! EAS dash Broadway scheme acceptence

Well then that was in a different year, or using criteria other than ACCESS. A cut-off means a cut-off. It always annoys me when people say "I got 94.95 and I really want to get into a course of 95, what can I do to get in????please help." They unfortunately missed out. plain and simple.

On the topic of University Transfers...

I am now planning on doing full fee at usyd for com/law, which had a uai of 96.75 in 2004. By how much do you think this will increase. I would have felt completely safe with 98.25 as it would have to jump 1.5 UAI points for me to then not be accepted. However, with the introduction in 2005 of...

Official UAI Thread: Post your UAI's here

I'm curious as to know what the people who receive a UAI of one hundred actually get in terms of monetary awards etc. I know they get their jubilant faces in the paper and some comment about ..."Indeed, law at USYD is my first preference...of course, hahaha". They also get to enjoy the laudatory...

On the topic of University Transfers...

Frigid, my UAI is 98.25, i really want to get into unsw or usyd com/law. I do have ACCESS, however following past trends its unlikely i will still get in. So, for transfer, would a D average and 98.25 get me in? Furthermore, do you think it would be smarter to get into com/law with full fee...

    EAS priority?

I am aware that people with greater problems deserve, and are alocated, the full 5 points; whereas those whose problems are of less severity/impact receive only 1 or 2 points or whatever. I have noticed some people have been exclaiming they have received the full 5 point consideration for...

HELP! EAS dash Broadway scheme acceptence

Actually aditya, mr EaZy is right. At absolute minimum [if uai cut-offs do not rise at all.....as if that'll happen] you needed 93.25 with ACCESS to gain acceptance into B Comm at UNSW lats year. So therefore, although USYD had a slightly lower HECS uai, its ACCESS cut-off would have been at...

Ah...98.45. I see. Then my uai of 98.25 is still probably too low to transfer from pure comm to law after one year of study. Full fee....Does anybody know how realistic a distinction average is in a course such as commerce at usyd or unsw??????? Considering I would be competing with people...

On the topic of University Transfers...

hey Frigid, one qn, through this transfer process, where does HECS ACCESS fit in? For example, although I may now be in uni, my uai would still have been affected by past circumstances. Any comments please.

    EAS priority?

Yes it was. Acid, maybe if you absolutely ripped up english, and the english extensions, in conjunction with ACCESS and a bombardment of letters to UAC and UNSW pleading [PLEADING!!!!!!] for consideration, they might....might....trial you.

HECS UAI cut-off was 99.35, the HECS ACCESS was 98. Bad luck
