i accelerated as well.
no if you do 4 unit, they'll automatically drop your 2 unit mark. they dont treat you differently if you've accelerated. so basically now that you're doing 4 unit, you're just like every other candidate in the state... you dont have any advantage over them.
are those his assessment marks or his aligned hsc marks?
besides it impossible for someone to do mathematics, mathematics extension 1, and mathematics extension 2.
also those marks seem too high... 99 for extension 2 and 100 for extension 1.. thats crazy. i think you're totally confused
yeh if you're dux at a crap school thats nothign special. i too hear of some schools who's top uai is only low 90s.
it really depends.. if you have a strong cohort and you yourself do good in the hsc then you'll do good

96.5 --> 97?
wasnt the cutoff for 2004 only 96.00? But yeh i'd agree with you.. i reckon it will be at least 96.5 for 2005. i dont know if its just me, but everyone i'm talking to seems to want to do commerce at either UNSW or sydney.
my essays that i prepared perfectly fitted with the crime fiction question, i just moulded it abit.

no pq does not equal -1.
the gradient of OP = p/2
gradient of OQ = q/2
therefore OP times OQ = pq/4 = -1 (since they are perpendicular)
therefore pq = -4
