Yea baulko in the last few years just seems to be accelerating in terms of popularity and HSC results and since its soooo close to ruse, it looks like theres gona b some though competition ahead.
I've been to ruse and sbhs and both schools have their pros and cons.
High has got the...
I was talking to few guys who generally top maths at my school and they were commenting that although the exam was quite long, all of the questions were do-able. 7 and 8 were a easier compared to the previous years.
Anyways, i got owned in the circle geo, didnt have time to do much of...
I've heard that if you feel sick in the actual exam room and you inform the supervisors (and its quite obvious that you arent actually feeling well) but contiune to sit the exam, in the case that your external exam mark is lower than your internal, your internal mark will be more heavily...
hahaha! baulko 6th sense :P not such a bad thing?!?!
Hehe theres always a bit of friendly antagonism between ruse and baulko hey?
Ruse puts trial estimates for scholarships etc
I just get buggered though, when people get the impression selective schools give u bonus uai marks.
Ok heres how i understand it. While BOS will scale adv and stn the same, when UAC looks at ur marks to calculate your UAI, theu will scale it DIFFERENTLY. So a 80 in adv is better for your uai than a 80 in stn.
Uai prediction is always diffcult. First you need to have a good idea of what your final scaled marks would look like. (have a look at my reply at http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=73857&page=4)
Then all the hard work is done for u by wonderful ppl like jm1234567890. Just...

Basically, look at ur rank and compare with ppl in the grade above you (either you kno a few ppl or u can ask ur teachers for stats). Heres an example, ur ranked 20/100 students for a subject. Now...
Well the idea that selective school kids get bonus UAI points from scaling just isn’t true. There’s just a lot of complex mathematics behind it, the point is to standardize all the internal marks from different schools to make it (theoretically) fairer for everyone. I don’t think the BOS really...
