I am actually quite happy with the current GPA system... However, I heard that MQ gives more passes and and less D's and HD's compared to other universities (in Commerce and Law at least). Does anyone know if this is true? If so, I would think that this is quite serious, as we are competing...

Of course. Apart from the music (which there is a good variety of: rock, hip hop, dance), there should *hopefully* be all the carnival stuff, like dodgems and other rides. It's a really good day to soak to just soak in the atmosphere...but best to go with a big group as it can seem like everyone...

Yeah it depends on your subjects. With the ones I've done, the normally 10% class participation was just added on to the final. The due dates for the 1st major assignment for the 2 subjects I did as an external were after the date for internals (one by 4 days, the other 1 and half weeks)...

Only difference with external is that if the lecture is recorded, it will be mailed out to you on CD's in mp3 format. You attend 2 days of oncampus sessions during the break and ofcourse no classes. You may also have different due dates for assignments..

I always get Men's Style magazine. It only comes out every season and is aimed at the Early20's-mid30's urban male professional. A little more high-brow than FHM/Ralph..
