I am doing a French major, and to the best of my knowledge Beginners is reserved solely for people with zero experience in French. Most likely you would have to do intermediate, but approach the Department and make enquiries.
If you read that web page you will see the notice "For papers not included here, please contact the relevant academic department". I'm guessing that's what you should do.
Most Faculties supply past examination papers to the library, who inturn post them on their website : http://www.library.usyd.edu.au/exams/

I went in to the Co-op today and asked them what the prescribed texts for my courses were. They were able to look them up on their computers. If you want to avoid Week 1 lines maybe try that.
