I watched it. I quit in November from a call centre just like that (for Telstra as well, ha!) but here in Sydney.
The job sucked, and by the looks of it, still does.

I did one of my core units last. It turned out to be pretty easy, but was a pain in the arse sitting it with first year students .. for numerous reasons.
I flew to Paris (via Singapore) with Singapore Airlines. It was a total of 21 hours or so. I'd have to say they're the best airline I've flown with.
Entertainment? Books, magazines and your iPod to block out annoying people sitting next to you.
Weird, I only got one the first year I was at UWS .. then nothing afterwards.

I never received an e-mail stating anything before I graduated. I just received a pack in the mail around mid-March with all my graduation stuff (forms, fees, brochures) in it.
I don't pay board and I work full-time. Mainly because I'm saving up to buy a house and my parents understand that. They don't want me renting like a douchebag. I pay bills occasionally, like water or electicity. Other than that, my money is my money.
There are a lot of advertisements in the paper for weekend first aid courses, so you should check out your local paper. I got mine with the Royal Life Saving Society, which was a weekend course for $85.
Yeah, I've had a few of those, they call you up for a sort of mini phone interview to suss you out.
I got my current job after a mini phone interview and a group interview.
