I'm exactly the same. Adv is shit for me. I think they mark differently. In ext 1 they are looking for ideas and perceptions and big words. But adv they just want you to stick to the formula of point quote example effect. Thats what i think anyway.

As long as you keep within the 6-8 minute time limit and meet the conventions of video. Which would mean you would need to have cuts and different shots otherwise you're not really editing or playing with the medium at all, you're simly pointing the camera and recording??

I took a course in Final Cut Pro. it was around $400. But worth it. Learning by yourself.. will take you no joke forever. Its a very complicated program. I did the course at MetroScreen in Paddington.

I'm doing ext 2. Except we haven't started. Out of 360 students 120 do ext 1 and 60 do ext 2. We have 6 teachers with 10 in each class. ext 2 is going to be the best subject of the hsc and the most rewarding.

Does anyone know why Yr12 students are unable to buy FCP 5.1 EDU version? Only Teachers, Schools, and Students from Tafe and Uni can.. Does anyone know a way around this? I'm sure we should be allowed to get the discount.
