Your obviously wrong...in the Dixon Book Page 49
Common characteristics of developing economies include:
- high levels of income inequality within their economies
- dependence on agricultural production for income, employment and trade opportunities
They're the 1st 2 points on developing...
No, 7 is C...hidden employment reducing is irrelevant because it is HIDDEN, hence not calculated by the ABS!! This is from Dixon Text book - Once NAIRU is reached...any further stimulus to aggregate demand will not lead to permanent reductions in unemployment....leading to higher inflation...
actually, 17 is A.... the lower the GINI coefficient is, the more equal the economy. increased welfare payments = more equal distribution, which is opposite to an increase in GINI
Re: Multiple choice answers
D is the crowding out effect, but thats in indirect effect on stability.
If the govt sells bonds overseas, that directly contributes to the CAD, and
hence - external instability as CAD/GPD is a measure of stability
where as the crowding out effect is not...
thought it was ok... pretty straight forward...
with Q7 when AD is increased in an economy at NAIRU,
isnt the answer C as the immediate effect a decrease in unemployment and increase in prices, but after unemployment increases....
and Q12 dont you finance a deficit by borrowing...
Everyone around these forums seems to think that USYD and UNSW are the best universities for business, eco and commerce, but isn't ANU Australia's highest ranking university?? Why are the entry requirements so low there and why isnt it as highly regarded by most people despite its top ranking??
yeh, a friend of mine has her interview on the 16th, the same day as the Business Studies exam....what do they expect, would we really go to an interview over sitting the final exams??
Must i keep correcting you people...in the publicaiton by UNSW for 2009 Medicine...there was 138 CSP, 49 Bonded, 9 Rural Bonded in 2008...and at the open day, they said there was approx 210 available places...
why dont griffith have different dates for interstate people, i think it is unreasonable that they ask ppl from NSW to fly up 2 days before final exams start...
nah..the odds are a little better that that...around 600 get interviewed both now and in january, and there are 210 places. So its a little better than 1 in 3....
perhaps it may be 1 in 5 for you considering you arent able to do a little basic maths... :p
Now that we've been offered interviews, should we be preparing for them in any way? anyone who's done an interview before, what are some main questions they ask and is training worth it??
it seems so many ppl actually got interview....how many ppl did we actually beat in getting these?? would there actually be thousands of applicants and only a few hundred get interviews?
