Well I am in UNSW so the shit we do is very theorectical... 4th year seems harder because whatever they teaches you in lower year becomes assume knowledge and so you get screwed over left-right-centre.
But like you said, it depends on the specialisation, and so the "type" of maths you deal with...
I am in my last year of electrical engineering degree and I can assure you 2U is not enough. You will need bridging course.
Problems in electrical engineering involves a high degree of algebra manipulation. Calculations are tedious but not hard, however, understanding what the maths represent...
I sleep even in the front row of lecture, so location is irrelavent to me.
I have up to 4-8 hours of sleep each night, I still sleep in lecture.
The problem with me is lunch. My body starts perspiring and warms up and I go to sleep involuntarily. Normally I sleep only for 30mins or so during...
I hate UNSW because:
* there are always shortcut to avoid stairs, causing lifts of particular building to malfunction every now an then. Good that the automatic door is broken now.
* there are too many people who do not know how to dress properly
* the main gate is located in the west...
Actually higher comp was made to exclude eet because of their higher failure rate.
eet students made the lecture less exciting. i am sure there exists a person out there who will support what i said
Um... I thought 891 goes to UNSW in the monring... 895 on the way back...
Anyways, I will personally kill anyone who tries to pay on a prepay bus on 895 back to Central... and NO it DOESN'T mean you catch the bus for FREE... just because driver refuses to accept coins off you.
Get it?
i know people who got 99/100 for physics
on the other hand, the average between my peers were around high 60s.
go figure...
HSC physics (back in 2003) ruined everything!!!!
even if he says yes it is extremely dangerous to overload when doing your thesis. I did 3 L4 subjects last year only and that killed me, let alone thesis on top of that.
Suggest you do thesis over summer period. Seriously not worth the hassle to "catch-up" your time. You do not want to screw...
Discrete Maths are logical mathematics, and required nothing more than basic algebra and a logical mind. E.g. finding a formula for Fibonnaci sequence requires manipulating surds and some other rules. I don't think you even need 4U maths for this so don't worried about what marks you get in...
Nah, they do in the morning. A girl didn't dip her tickets and she got pulled out immediately... she forgot to dip in her travel ten...
Then one time I accidentally dip my travelpass twice, i got pulled... explained to him and got back in the sit. Funny enough i was walking to a sleep half...
If you continue to walk up High Street you will reach randwick centre. There are KFC, Subway and various resturant around there. Food will still cost you about 7-8 bucks.
Next is locate McDonalds on Barker Street. Turn left on Anzac parade. Walk along that road will bring you to some...
i also guess you wouldn't be the only one eating, and I also guess chewing sounds accumulates, and I also guess people talking in the back are more annoying than you eating.
anyhow, like sunny said, you will be buggered by week 4 and skip almost everything except labs and some tuts. so eating...
mate, leaving between 4-6pm is a killer, you probably have to spend like 1/2 hr just to get to the city thorugh the traffic jams.
as to carrying instruments, well, see if you can leave them close to uni. no general locker facility on campus but yeah find a friend living near by.
