Hey BoSers,
I got a late round offer for B Commerce at USYD, need to accept and enroll on Friday.
I'm reading through the info on the website, and I'm a little confused by it all. Does USYD structure its course in the same way as the other uni's - i.e. eight core units across two semesters...
I passed my Driver's Test first go (103/108?) in manual, got 95.05 ATAR. Life is good.
My friend gets a Premier's Award...and failed the test in an Automatic vehicle. Life is good.
There is absolutely no correlation between the DPT and the HSC.
Can't go wrong with either.
This generation, I've really only played multiplatform games; the only exceptions really being Alan Wake and Gears of War. The others (like Forza Motorsport) have substitutes on PS3, so its all good.
EDIT: I only have an Xbox.
During my HSC year, I gave up Facebook and the Xbox.
I was surprised how much more productive my weekends were, even though I gave in the week before my first exams.
Hey,
I started a thread not too long ago, asking for an ATAR estimate.

Got the B5 in English, so thank you for giving me the motivation prior to the HSC. Cheers.
Thank you all for your words of wisdom. :)
I think my choice will now be between UNSW and Macquarie. To me, studying at UNSW is somewhat daunting; I mean, I'm fairly smart - but I don't think I'm UNSW smart, if that makes sense.
I also should have mentioned I'm most interested in marketing...
Irony.

I enjoyed Years 7-8 Science; then Years 9-10 were so boring and at times difficult (that stuff with molecules and equations just made my brain hurt), so I was happy not...
Hey BoSers,
I was expecting to get an ATAR of between 80 and 85. In anticipation of that I put down Macquarie University B Commerce (2011 cut-off: 83.60) as my first preference. Throughout the year, I have visited Macquarie to hire books for Extension History. I've always liked the atmosphere...
Term 4, 2010: goal of 85
Term 2, 2011: goal of 80
Term 3, 2011: goal of 75-80
ATAR: 95.05 .... I still have no idea how I could've got such mark, when I felt I had performed so badly in the HSC.
To varying degrees.
Maths - the oft quoted '30% Prelim can be tested.' 100% of Prelim is tested - there's no way you can do Year 12 Maths without knowing the entirety of the Prelim course.
In my own experience:
Economics - its good to revise the Year 11 content - especially supply/demand...
Just keep things in perspective.
It's November, there would be only a tiny percentage that are really getting into a stringent study routine.
Year 12 does go fast, but remember, there is also fun to be had.
If you only study for an hour a day, that's better than nothing. And just like...
I don't think they'd have a problem with it, I did so.
But just be wary, on the corner of the Short Answer papers, there is a ˥ to indicate the area which is to be scanned using the scanner. Never exceed that space.
A mix of emotions...
When I got to my car, I just sat in the afternoon sun, staring at the steering wheel.
Then after about five minutes, I opened my sunroof, and blasted 'Sexy and I Know It' by LMFAO.
My knees were shaking a bit, so I may have grinded gears a little when I was changing...
