The key to success in the HSC is not to study constantly without a break. The key is to pace yourself, and make sure that the study you DO do is effective and stays in your mind. Studying 5 hours a night will not help if it's just gunna slip out the next day. Maybe during the week you should...
Wouldn't count on that 110/120 as beign a band 6
The head of maths at our school, who marks HSC all the time said it's usually 85/90+ that will get a band 6
All in all the easiest 2U paper yet I think - If you compare it to last year's this was pretty good. Didn't get 9(c) (that beam one - what kind of beam is bent like that anyway) or 10bI, III.
But overall pretty good.
Well over the past few weeks I've done every 2U paper since 1980, and they become progressively harder. So following the pattern, 2008 should be pretty challenging. Greatttttttt.....
I think a covalent bond is the sharing of electrons, whereas in an ionic bond, the electrons are transferred, creating one atom with a positive and one with a negative charge, and these attract eachother through electrostatic forces.
And even if thats not right it's easy to think of it like that.
Je n'ai guére etudié :(
I figure that not a huge amount of improvement can be made in a week-and-a-bit. Just going over some French phrases, and might do some listening....eventually.
Mais, esperement il n'y sera aucune raison de me faire du souci!
Usually the CSSA Catholic Physics trial is a pretty good indication of what will be in the HSC. Did anyone do the test? What kind of questions were asked?
I reckon there will be something on:
- BCS (hasn't been asked since 2005)
- Solar Cells (hasn't been asked in a very long time)
- A...
So where does the moderation of our school based assessment marks come in?
Like, say for example that in my trial exam for Physics I got 80/100, but that was rank 1 - and then I get say 92/100 for HSC, will my assessment mark be scaled up to 92?
Confuseddd
hey
Did you get the call asking about preferences for March/August start dates?
And also are they going to be contacting us for our HSC results or what?
Re: The Poem Was About A Dog?
It was a metaphor lol. I kind of saw it as the dog 'wagging his tail', expecting to enjoy revisiting his home town (or some bullshit like that), but then the extension of this metaphor to show the dog retreating with his nose or something showed how the times have...
