    P-Plate drivers!!

Not all p-plate drivers are irresponsible when it comes to driving - SOME are. Recently I read in our papers one p-plater was clocked doing 50, 60k's over the speed limit. Another was caught speeding well over the limit AFTER losing his or her licence, + it wasn't the only time this p-plater was...

    Hsc At Tafe?

I did my VCE at TAFE. Pretty much all subjects offered at secondary schools were listed on the TAFE enrollment form. Only different I noticed TAFE/school is that the teacher tend to treat you more like an adult + the average student age is much older than sec. school !!

    Extensions

Never applied for an extension this yr. Only extensions I had were 'class extensions' e.g. dates mixed up, text books not available on time, WebCT malfunctions (for online quizzes). I prefer handing in assignments on the due date, early if possible. Handed in 2 assignments due after mid sem...

Yasser Arafat dies in Paris hospital; age 75.

Arafat wasn't as hell bent on "exterminating Jews" as much as his HAMAS cronies are. Don't forget, that for too many years, the Palestinians have been "pawns" in the hands of the Arabs in their game with the Israelis. IMO, he didn't do enough for his people. He was worth billions. Mostly from...

    VCE/HSC exam equivilances

I’m pretty sure VCE/HSC biology are similar. From memory, I printed off 2002 biology exam paper (HSC) - question were not that different to what we did throughout the yr. I think there were a few questions I couldn't do b/c the topic was not covered in the course content.

    Post Election Thoughts Continued

I keep shuddering at the thought of the Libs having BOTH the house of reps and the senate {{{{{{{{{{{{shiver}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Good-bye Telstra, Good-bye a whole raft of labour relation laws, Good-bye tax breaks for the likes of you and me, good bye environment. All I can say is sometimes the...

    Post election thoughts

Most people are followers and put less than a few minutes of thought into voting. :( I think the Libs had a massive advantage here, as someone already pointed out just look at the negative campaign they dug up for Latham, he didn't have a chance. I think he did quite well considering...

    Any final thoughts?

My final thoughts, what I find disturning, is that if the Howard government come through they will: Continue on its path of privatization and conservative elitism, destroy our universal healthcare system, continue to push our once excellent government schools into further decreptitude...
