the uac calculator uses aligned marks (the ones you got today) rather than raw marks (the actual % you got right). So if u did it before getting results it would have been way off
anyone else unsure how to feel about their results? I got the atar i needed for my course but didn't get as many band 6s as I wanted. Was kinda expecting 1 or 2 more with another 1 or 2 as possible depending on alignment. Happy i got the atar of course, but slightly disappointed at the same time
Im ranked first and think i got maybe an 86-67. But could also lose a couple more depending on how cruel they are with the written stuff. Possible to get a B6?
Yeah probably 3. would be 4 for getting the first two correct but -1 for swapping the halide. Did you write anything about E or what it can/cant be? bc that will sometimes get you an extra mark
probably lose 1 mark for swapping Br with F ( they should be able to see what you meant to do but cant give you all the marks obviously). maybe 3 or 4 out of 7 in total if you didnt get anything to do with compound E? idk really tho
Often for a 4 mark calculation question you can get 1 mark for 'some relevant information', 2 for 'provides some steps of the calculation', 3 for 'provides most steps of calculation' and obviously 4 is getting it correct. So i would guess you would get a mark. probably 3 for those of us who...
yeah thats pretty much what i did. i just hope they don't say you have to go over the titration bit for full marks bc you didn't need it and so i didn't use it
lol i just drew the two possible structures for E and looked at one of the peaks and showed how it only exists in one of them. I thought about adding the titration stuff for all the compounds but really didn't want to bother so i didnt
Q35 was "Identify which structures 1, 2 and 3 in the table are acids X, Y and Z. Justify your answer with reference to the information provided." Surely we dont have to refer to it all, they gave so much info that you didn't really need
