Hey sorry I haven't responded for a while, been busy with work.
Both rooms are still available, and the rent has actually dropped to $135 per week.
My phone number is 0402216665, feel free to call me if you're interested, but I work every weekday and finish at about 5:00pm, so it would...
BUMP
Still have one room available if anyone is interested, one room is most likely taken.
We sign the lease again on the 7th of February, if anyone is looking to move in.
Unfortunately we don't have the internet at our house yet :p so any internet activity I'm making is through the university computers.
I'll email you both with my mobile number so we could arrange for you to come and have a look if you like. If that's not possible, the best I can do at the...
Ok, so I know this isn't the best place to put an ad, but our house is right next to the uni and is basically designed for uni students....
We've got two Large rooms in a 4-bedroom house, about 30 seconds walk (across the road) from the uni if anyone is interested.
Rent is $140 a week, but...
I think I'll just go with the 18 UOC, even though I know I'll probably regret it down the track.
The three subjects EDST1101, COMP1081 and MATH1081 manage to stretch themselves over FIVE days, and each subject has it's lectures on one line only, so there's absolutely nothing I can do about...
Also, while I'm in a question-asking mood, would there be any problems if someone did MATH1151, then MATH1231 rather than MATH1251, apart from the obvious problem of learning Matlab and swapping to Maple? :p
I'm doing BSc/BEd, majoring in Mathematics for the science component with the aim of becoming a maths teacher.
Damn.... looks like I'm in the minority ;)
So it looks like for S1, I'll do MATH1081, EDST1101, and COMP1081, just to get the 6 UOC of computing courses out of the way.
That's...
I'd be stoked it if had an income high enough to pay the rent let alone food/bills/textbooks/etc.
But apparently I'm also too rich to receive any benefits from the govt, so I'm living off what I saved up throughout high school :S
I have a problem :S
I want to major in Mathematics, and have already done MATH 1151 as part of a different degree.
I wanted to do MATH1131 anyway, but it turns out I'm not allowed, so it looks like I'll just do 18 UOC in the first semester instead of 24 (18UOC is still considered full...
MINOR SPOILER:
I definately noticed a few parts dragging on a bit, like when Gavin fell off the cliff, Ellie climbing down to him and eventually to the bottom of the cliff went over about 12 pages. Good book overall though, but nothing compared to the first series.
Swapping from Actuarial Studies to BScience/BEducation, majoring in maths for the science component. So yeah.... thought it would be pretty important for me to be solid on all the maths I'll ever cover if I'm going to be teaching it one day :p
Basically, I did no work what-so-ever for 1151 and didn't really learn anything on the way through, really only passed it by the art of bullshitting. It would just make me feel a lot better if I did an easier maths, and got a good mark in it and actually learned something in the process...
