start simple with say a context diagram then slowly build on it. think of the subprograms in your program and see if you can group then into processes (a process can consist of more than one subprogram)

lol there is a syllabus. But you know need to know the hsc competencies And their are a couple of books out that relate. one of them is called communicating in an IT environment and theres another one which is blue in colour. There published by Eastern House (if I remember right).

yeah I had a similar situation last year... IT just totally bored me to bits that I didn't like it I'm guessing your doing more than 12 units at the moment? The certificate i reckon is only useful if you plan on going to TAFE instead of uni. Alone cert II doesn't mean that much.

afaik at uts we don't have to do maths as such (haven't done any yet)... - one of the reasons i chose it, being maths ain't my strongest point we had to do 5 weeks of accounting though :chainsaw:

the moderated school assessment mark may not be the same as the persons hsc exam mark who got the same rank as ur school rank in the actual hsc....... (that only happens for the person who cames first)

asumming so, your moderated school assessment will become higher.......because evry1 else has done good. so it pushes up the marks in a way add that to ur exam mark then divide by 2 to get the final mark..... but scaling is only done for the UAI.........

you need to learn how to write properly for the IT exam.... yeah if your on 10 units...... i'd sure as hell study for it.. need all the marks u can get really......

if ur more confident in it than another subject, definately sit it.. the worse thing is that it may not count..... if you get a really good mark it'll probably count..... and thus wont scale u down (compared to say if u didnt sit it, and the other subject u did, turned out to be worser than...

have a look at the resources section for sdd, they have the notes from last years enrichment day for sdd..... u basically get the booklet of ntoes and stuff, and they go through them..... with like tips for the hsc exam

ahh but u need to know that cos if they ask u to write in memo format and u dont do it properly......... but yeah other than that........ definatley boring.....
