    I have friends doing it and i've seen the assignments and stuff. The assignments seem really long. Much longer than previous years. The final exam is based on the assignments. This is to stop cheating.

    It is hands free. However, you can buy one of those adapters which converts pop-port to a normal headphone jack and then you can just use regular headphones in it.

    about 1/2 a year or so, depends on how clean your pockets are I guess. people have suggested ways to fix it such as blowing compressed air into it, but the only reall way is to take it apart (which isn't easy).

    6233 is an excellent phone, much better than the k750i as a phone. The k750i has a better camera, however it has a bad problem of the joystick getting clogged up with dust and becoming hard to use.

    That's first year stats, you derive most things in 2nd year (including repeating much of STAT131 i hear) :)

    There are heaps of job options. Mathematics/Statistics is needed in many areas. Although.. I guess Pure Maths is a bit limited. eg. - Consultation - Data Analysis - Finance - Risk Analysis - Weather Forcasting - Various areas of science (Like calculating nuclear reactions) - Engineering

    lol, sorry. I missed the spits back out bit... that definately isn't normal as mac support said. However, the drive is pretty noisy in general.

    You've got a pretty good chance. and whether you do matherial or mechanical, there will be physics in first year :P If you don't get straight in, you'll probably get something conditional on your maths marks.

    lol... yeah, they are academics after all. Marks mean the most to them. I think portfolios would only be important in creative arts and maybe computer science.

    I don't know pure maths that well, since I've been trying to avoid all the pure maths subjects... But I know there are about 4 pure maths subjects and if you do the advanced stream you get to do a project with a lecturer.
