i figure. say there are 100 places, but 150 students pick it... they just rank those 150 by their uai and take the top 100. the uai cutoff is wat the 100th person got. hence the uai is a whole popularity thing, if 100, 95+ ppl decide all of a sudden they all want to do that course that...

I went to the Usyd open day today, the staff and lecturers were heaps informative and approachable. Orthoptic professionals actually have more qualifications then optometrists!!! The only thing they cant do is prescribe glasses(ie. work in a retail setting) in NSW, but they can in VIC...

one guy stood me up, wouldnt answer my calls, and then sms'd me saying to check my email. I did, it said, he was getting back with his ex and couldnt contact me ever again. wat made it worse was he was 6yrs older, you think by then they have some guts/maturity and dont break up using email...
