What type of poety are your writing? an epic? a collection? a suite? it all depends. it's what you want it to be. You stretch it towards pomo and go crazy or stay traditional. It all depends on the direction you want your work to go in, your concept: does it complement your meaning and concept...
i did the hsc last year, and the summer holidays were soooo important. I failed maths in year 11, like i pretty much came last! so i spent three straight weeks conquering the whole year 11 syllabus to the point where i aimed to get 100% in all my year 11 "practice" exams that i "resat" for. I'm...
hey,
i got offered a straight Ba comm (journalism) degree, but now that i think about it, I really really want to combine it with law.
My uai wasn't high enough for the combined degree (although I hear that people who get around 94 have been offered places :s ) so i have no chance in the...
yay UTS!!!
Bachelor of Arts in Communications (journalism)
congrats everyone on getting into their course at UTS!!!
and the BoS meetup sounds like a good idea. Maybe at Oday or something. :)
P.S. I'm going to be on the look out for an 'Evan'. :p
personally, I went to a number of poetry events and made contacts with some established poets. I didn't really have in mind 'this is what i need to do for ee2', i just generally and genuinely wanted to get to know them and talk to them about poetry, les murrary for example gave me wonderful...
the most common thing i hear about the comm course is that there is a severe lack in boys, so I'm glad to know that there is at least one now, haha.
supposedly 20% of those in the course are boys and half of them are gay
great statistics, lol.
I'm doing journalism. But i hear that for all the comm courses, first year subjects are pretty much the same with same classes and everything. Can't wait to meet everyone! :)
From what I've heard by people in the industry and past students, some people that graduated from the UTS BA Public Communications (pretty much PR) ended up being journalists, and some people that graduated from UTS BA Jouralism, got PR jobs. So i guess this shows that the two areas are quite...
now that i think about it, I'll prefer to go to the bigger day, although i'll doubt that would change the amount of new people i will meet. But i want to do everything early so i might come to the 12th! :) I don't know if i can change though, but i don't think it's a big deal if I pop up on the...
It think because there is such a large number of business students, you have your very own orientation day.
I'm doing BArts and the only two options i had was: 12th February - for any student; 20th February for all non-business students.
Are we allowed to change later on? I want to go to both (I think I'm becoming a bit over-enthusiastic about uni! lol)
For now I'm going to go to the 20th February.
I know of several people who missed out on a UTS BA communications course (whether Journalism, Social inquiry, Public Communictions, Media Arts and Production, and writing and culture studies).
The good thing is that for each of the 5 different BA Communications strands the FIRST YEAR SUBJECTS...
