The wine glass bowl may be modelled by the following

.y=cosec(x/2)-b (0<x<2*), (0<y<5)

1. Find a and b given that the points are on the curve and substitute them into the model function.

2. Show that the function in part 1 is symmetric about x = π.
(Use , for symmetry about x = a)

3. Draw a large sketch of the cross section of the bowl. Find the points where:
(i) y = 5 and label them A and B
(ii) x = 2π/3 and x = 4π/3, and label them C and D
(iii) x = π and label it F.

Find the approximate area of the cross section of the bowl by considering the trapezium ABCD and the triangle CDF.

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks. :)
