I read in the papers today that Sydney Uni's going to cut 500 course positions. i'm wondering if Economics or computer courses will be affected. Secondly, I want to know if the effect is immediate - will the cut affect the 2003 HSC candidates.

wat im afraid off is dat since de laws and dentistry are being cut, de high achievers r likely going to drop into mid-high UAI courses eg economic, thus increasing competition in that field.
this factor may also cause overall UAI cutoffs of many other mid-high subjects to increase. Eg Commerce, Economics
