Research That's the only way you can eventually set up your own proposal and find a range of historians for. Ask your teacher, peers and just look around libraries (including State and Uni libraries).
eva peron...huge historical debate. Might be very general, but try just focusing on whether certain sources see her as a credit to the peronist regime or a factor that lead to its arguable failure
Hi, I did Eva Peron for the Extension History project in 2006 and got 95/100. The essay is not about Eva Peron, but rather, the reasons why historians have represented her in different ways.
A good response will focus on the following things, and I would recommend this as a structure for your response;
Purpose: E.g. ‘My Mission’ was published as propaganda.
Perspective: E.g Louis Borges’ family suffered under the Perons
Evidence: Navarro and Fraser use a number of sources and are more equitable in their judgements.
Language/Style: Main uses highly emotive language (She isn’t an historian, but her writing has shaped so much of public perception, including Tim Rice).
These things are interrelated. Purpose and Perspective will clearly affect Language/Style and Evidence selected.
Some sources might include
Main
Borges
Navarro and Fraser
Taylor
Martinez
Ortiz
Sydney Uni Library has a good selection, so does the State Library of NSW. I had to buy a number of books - but have been obsessed for years. Good luck
