are grievance procedures the same as the dispute resolution process i.e negotiation,mediation, conciliation, arbitration etc? otherwise how do they differ? please help!

sorry but what text book are you referring to? i have jacaranda business studies n action
grievance procedues are the steps to be followed in order to resolve a dispute. so yes, they are practically the same thing. the different is that grievance procedures are more specific to the individual as the procedure and the conditions should be outlined in the employment contract. whereas the dispute resolution process is more a broad term used for the generic method of resolving disputes.
