just thought i'd start a new thread... but does everyone agree that us general maths students are valuable, well rounded members of society?

well, 4u students hold high reputation even if u do bad in it (cos we made it thru 1 yr of 4u ) .......

i reckon general students should get more credit for surviving the course... we have to sit through months of loans, and interest rates, and credit cards...

ahhahaha well we have to sit through calculus, trig ratios, min/max, integration and blah blah blah!!!

hahah but yeah - nothing against general maths
we all have our strengths n weaknesses

hahaha well u survived one year... only got like 6 more months to go~!

im SO glad i dropped to general... i never intended to when i selected my subjects (i was coming first in advanced) but then i just went "im sick of this" and dropped down my teachers were absolutely horrified

maths is challenging no matter what level u do

i am really surprised that u are doing general snakeoils....what did u get in ur SC for maths?

yeah GENRALLY if your good at maths, your not as good in english. its either one or the other.. if someone is good at both.. well i guess something went wrong.. LOL nah generally its like that. but not always

You're right there.

I do 4 unit english and general maths.

I reckon people that go gen. maths are the smartest cause unless you really love maths, who needs it. Computers do all our maths these days.

computers dont do maths by magic, u know ... its people who know how to do maths who program computers to be able to do maths ....

well u need maths for almost everything u do.. its a prequist for uni for most courses.

2 reasons for doin 4u :
1) SCALING ..... is there anything more to say?
2) doing 4u maths makes studying uni maths so much easier ...

basically, its not the love for the subject ...
