How the hell has that made it harder for the poor to access university?line_backer said:de-regulation of tertiary education to make it harder for the poor to access uni's,
You obviously another person who follows the ALP. The Unions do jack half the time. THey take fees off vulnerable workers, give them discounts and cause trouble in businesses. They can really pound into our economy if they desire and Howard is trying to make it fairer for employers who ensure there is the bread and butter and the income to fund unions.line_backer said:ur obviously another up-tight conservative middle-class liberal stooge... wat has howard done? answer: screw up unions,
Asquithian said:Every PM since Menzies to Keating...Fraser's constitutional crisis is made up for by his older persona.
John Howard is Australia's worst PM. He offends so many basis tenents of politics from accountability to community consultation to running small target elections in order to win. His party has done everything in order to limit the role of departments that are meant to keep the executive in check.
He is a man that will do anything in order to win an election even thought it is politically immoral...
He is Australia's most successful PM because he appeals to the majority's self interest and sets clear and defined goals and guidlines. He appeals to apathy by using self interest and nationalism. To many this is his greatest crime more so than his economic policy etc etc. It is his methods which irk people. Appealing to self interest instread of even attempting to appeal to everyone. You would hope that a government attempts to legislate for everyone's interests not simply the majority (which isnt very big in Australia) - or at least pay some attention to those who are not part of the majority. This government is confortable enough not to have to talk to anyone at all.
He is the ultimate conservative politician in the world. In this respect he is one of the greatest.
LOL...well said. I'm actually a liberal supporter if you read my other posts. LOLAsquithian said:You should note Jono A that most of your arguments are just as thin as the arguments you are responding to.
Asquithian said:I dont think anyone in your family ever had a redundancy delivered to them as a result of the work of the union. Union hating really irks me. All those workers laid off from plants got their redundanices and pay that was outstanding. I doubt they would have gotten anything without the union.
You should note Jono A that most of your arguments are just as thin as the arguments you are responding to.
